Three Modern Cabins sit on the rim of Black Canyon on private acreage. They are very quiet and secluded, close to each other but facing away toward Hill Country Views.
While some folks stay here to get away from it all, it’s only a five minute drive along the Blanco River into town for outstanding shops, restaurants, and activities. When you return for the evening, kick back and savor the stargazing. Wimberley is an International Dark Sky Community with a very exciting night skies. We love summer nights listening to cicadas and whippoorwills and winter nights with total silence. Enjoy the plush furnishings and decor in our modern cabin. Each cabin is bright and cozy with a well-appointed, full kitchen - a real luxury retreat.
Evergreen and Wildbird both face cozy wooded canyon views. Northstar faces a vast Hill Country view. Northstar also has some upgraded furnishings and kitchen gear.
Our beautiful pool complex is ready for your getaways and gatherings! Our luxurious golf simulator clubhouse is ready for hourly rentals of our top-of-the-line GCHawk simulator and lounge. Pet policy:
Small dogs are allowed in Wildbird and Evergreen with approval and a $50 per pet fee. Animals are NEVER allowed in Northstar or our pool complex.

Check-in is anytime after 4PM and check out by 11AM.
Self check-in with keypad; code will be sent to you prior to check-in.
Quiet hours are 10PM to 8AM.
No smoking, parties, or events.
Parking for two vehicles only.
-We do not permit guests or vehicles not on the reservation. If you plan to have a friend visit, please get our permission in advance.
-Please follow the posted house rules.
-Upon check-out, please turn off all lights/fans, take bagged trash to the dumpster at the property entrance, and wash dishes.

Great Family Vacation!
Our family vacation at the Modern Trio Cabins was an unforgettable experience, with 8 adults, 3 toddlers, and 2 babies, and we were enchanted by the picturesque hill country and its numerous adventures. Every morning, we savored our coffee on the back porch, marveling at the stunning sunset, and taking in the panoramic views of the hill country. The pool area was a treat for our family, especially the little ones, and we relished cooking our meals outside, using a grill we purchased. We were pleased to hear that a grill area is in the works. The location was perfect, just a short drive from town, allowing us to visit local coffee shops, float the Blanco River, and explore Wimberley square for some shopping. Sally was an outstanding host, responding promptly to our needs, and the communication was excellent. Our stay at the Modern Trio Cabins was nothing short of amazing, and we can't wait to return for another family vacation.

Perfect group getaway!
We rented the Modern Cabin Trio for our group of 8 adults and 2 toddlers. Everyone loved their experience! The cabins were lovely and had everything we needed, and the peaceful views of the canyon and hill country really set the tone for a relaxing weekend together. We loved their pool area and enjoyed cooking meals in the cabins (excited to hear they have a grill area coming soon as well!). It was also great to be so close to town and Blue Hole for swimming. Sally made us feel so welcome and was super communicative throughout the experience. We will definitely be keeping Black Canyon in mind for future trips!

Groomsmen Wedding Lodging
I stayed at the Cabin Trio with my groomsmen (11 total people) in April 2024. Black Canyon is in a great location, extremely convenient for our Wimberley area wedding. The cabins were very clean, the pool area was close, clean, and a great addition to our experience. Sally was an awesome host, was always communicative, and ensured we were well taken care of at all times. Would 100% recommend Black Canyon Wimberley, and we will be keeping the number for future lodging endeavors.

Great cabins for multi-family trip!
We booked the cabin trio for a trip with three families who all have young kids. Pros: - Responsive host -Excellent view of scenic hill country from the back porch of each cabin. -Smart cabin layout provides enough room for adults and multiple children -Well stocked -Centrally located 5 minutes from downtown Wimberly Cons: -The area is still being renovated and built-up with new cabins, so the grounds were not done.
